Superior to PVC backed carpet tiles, EcoWorx conductive backing is a stronger, lighter-weight and a more environmentally friendly backing system. 100% recyclable with recycled content (backing contains 40% recycled content) and a lower embodied energy than PVC backed carpet, StaticSmart PosiTile carpet tile is a smart choice for LEED facilities. Unlike PVC, which uses a static dissipative additive that migrates as the PVC ages (resistance increases over time resulting in reduced and compromised static control protection), StaticSmart PosiTile with EcoWorx backing has a permanent conductive component that will not break down over time. EcoWorx is the only non-PVC backing available on the market today for static control carpet tile, and it's found on StaticSmart PosiTile carpet tile. If it doesn't say EcoWorx, it's PVC.

This can be a time-consuming, labor-intensive process with "glue-down" carpet tiles. StaticSmart PosiTile carpet tile permits easy relocation of electrical boxes for total flexibility with work stations. Unlike glued-down carpet tiles, each PosiTile module is a carpet tile (24" x 24" inches) that's engineered to match one Tate ConCore® access floor panel without the need for messy adhesives. Four patent-pending, ultrasonically welded buttons on the underside of the tile provide precise indexed alignment with four matching indentations in the ConCore panel. Now, any one can rearrange their work area quickly and easily, without the mess and labor involved with traditional access flooring carpet tile.
