StaticSmart ESD Carpet Tile
Mission Critical ESD Flooring for Access Floors
StaticSmart PosiTile Carpet Access Floor Covering
PosiTile® is a patented carpet solution for Tate access flooring.
StaticSmart (formerly UTP) offers many sustainable and recyclable
PosiTile™ designs manufactured with recycled content. PosiTile
is an adhesive free carpet system that indexes “One to One” with
Tate’s “ConCore®” panel.
Indexed PosiTile® makes it easier to access and change floor panels.
Indexing produces substantially less waste than traditional glue down
carpet tile systems over access floors. PosiTile is available with
StaticSmart “Advanced Static Control” as an option.
In the networked office, people, equipment and furniture
are constantly being moved. That means moving access floor
panels and carpet tiles. This can be a time-consuming, labor-
intensive process with "glue-down" carpet tiles. Now there's
a carpet tile that permits easy relocation of electrical boxes
for total flexibility with work stations. Unlike glued-down
carpet tile, each PosiTile module is a carpet tile
(23.98 x 23.98 inches) that's engineered to match
one Tate ConCore® access floor panel without the
need for messy adhesives. Four patent-pending,
ultrasonically welded buttons on the underside
of the tile provide precise indexed alignment
with four matching indentations in the ConCore
panel. Now, any one can rearrange their work
area quickly and easily.
PosiTile One-to-One Simplicity
The Problem:
18 x 18 inch tile
creates trouble. |

The Solution:
PosiTile -
The One-to-One fit. |
|
|
 |
With 18 x 18 inch carpet tiles, moving an electrical box is no simple feat. It requires 4 - 6 new carpet tiles to be re-cut and installed in the new location. This process must be performed each time an electrical box, service outlet, air vent or grommet is moved. |
|
PosiTile, electrical box and access floor panel are moved as one unit. The panel and the on-to-one PosiTile can simply be swapped with another floor panel quickly and easily. No other tiles need to be handled. |
